Celebrity Respect

I went to a new school when I was in sixth grade. One of the things the teacher made the class do is stand up in front of class and read a newspaper clipping of the day or the day before. After the reading you would have to state:who, what, when were and why. I just didn't feel comfortably standing in front of class, so the teacher understood me being new kid at first and let me off for a little while. Then he told me he was going to fail me if I don't try. I don't remember exactly what was said, but he talked to me after class. I asked him if he was one of the members of the Jackson Five and his response was something like,"Would that make a difference?" I said, "No" then he said, "Good,..." He did get me to do my assignment in front of class. That conversation with Mr. Jackson help me with respecting the celebrities out there and making a difference.

PS; I met Mr. Jackson's son some years later and it confirmed that I have had Super Star as my sixth grade teacher. (yep, cool)

A few years later, I met Matt Dillon. I was still young trying to be someone I wasn't and full of crap more than half the time. A good friend introduced him to me at the towns park. He denied the he was a star at first, but after exchanges of who was lying first, he confessed he was a star. What was said to me hurt my feelings, but he was right in what he said and went on home for the day.

I believe the first movie I seen him in was "Little Darlings," but the best is "Me, You and Debree." It was great to see him play the responsible part, its was funny and so him.

PS; I think he was visiting his Aunt and Uncle in town there at the time.(hint, population 2000)Oh and I seen Jennifer Aniston in Malibu, CA. now. This is the crap that got me in trouble the first time (lol), but this is true :).

I was walking across Victoria Ave. to a Chevron gas station(gone now) when I seen Madonna wave to me, out of a backseat of a Datson B210? I didn't wave back because it didn't seem real. The driver slowed down, like he or she was going to stop the car. I imagine Madonna said,"Forget it,keep on going". I've been mindful of her as a good friend because I would have stressed out on why I didn't wave back, if she had the car stop to asked. I really thought it was someone imitating her, until the brake lights came on (lol).

The next time we crossed paths was at a cemetery. It was a sad day for both of us and our families (Small world). I wanted to have her stop the car and give her a hug, but it wouldn't have been appropriate time to explain why.
